Rider Bio:

Anna-Bianca Schnitzmeier was born on the 27 July 1990 in Dortmund, Germany. The 23 year old started cycling in 2002 and has established herself as a strong, reliable all-rounder. Schnitzmeier turned professional in 2011 with the German registered Abus-Nutrixxion team in a season which saw her compete successfully on both the track and road.

In 2007 and 2008 Schnitzmeier won four titles as Champion of Nordrhein-Westfalen. In the same year she finished 11th at the Junior World Championships in Cape Town.  Anna has successfully transitioned herself in to the elite ranks, picking up notable results in 2011 with 12th in the World Cup of Valladolid, 7th at the German National Championships and 8th in the Lotto Cup in Erpe-Mere.

2012 did start far from good due to an operation in the winter of 2011 and the season didn’t go as planned. But despite all the bad luck she managed to finished 8th at the European Road Championships in Goes, 13th at the National Championships and 2nd in the Sparkassen Giro. Schnitzmeier’s aggressive racing style and dedication to achieving team goals sees her as a very valuable addition to the team. She hopes to represent Germany at the World Championships and Olympic Games in the near future.
